first dr's appt

I had my first dr's appt with the peanut on Dec 9th and I was 7 weeks pregnant. It was a routine checkup although I was afforded an early ultrasound because of some spotting that I was concerned about. I got some beautiful pics of the peanut and was reassured of my growing love bug. If it's something you have never experienced, turst me, hearing the thump, thump, thump of a heartbeat of one growing inside you is amazing. Simply amazing.

I weighed exactly what I weighed when starting with Macy Grace so that's great!

Oh my poor body, I was looking at pics of last time full term, I just can't believe my body can do that! I was huge!!!

10 on Tuesday

1. I'm so over winter. And it's only January 19th. Umph. I want warmeth and sunshine. I want to go outside and snap photos and start pushing myself again.

2. Macy Grace is cutting like 5 teeth right now and it's rough. Very rough at our house.

3. We had a fun weekend, I got my hair done! I'll have to snap a few photos to show it off!

4. We went to an ACTS (Adults Challenged To Serve, it's our sunday school class at church, we have get together's once a month) party at our friends house. It is so nice to get together with other adults, and no children and just talk. It's great.

5. When Macy's laying in bed and she wants out or isn't feeling good, she cries for daddy. Daddy, aka, Jeremy is hardly ever here, why doesn't she just cry for momma?!

6. I almost made everything on our menu last week! I need to post a new one for this week, I just can't decide what sounds good!

7. Besides brownies and ice cream!

8. Please pray for my friends, the Hetzers. She delivered twins girls at 26 weeks and baby Katlyn survived, baby Julianne is now in Heaven.

9. I took these pictures about 2 weeks ago when I told my siblings I was pregnant. Please excuse the poor lighting and focus. My parents basically live in a cave!















10. It's Tuesday, I keep thinking its Wednesday, wishing it was Friday. Ah, the days. Love to all! xoxo

{prater} - family session

We had a fabulous time together shooting some pics for their christmas cards! Love!

I suppose I should cut loose and share all the fun pregnancy info, shall we? Hahaha.

Truthfully, and I don't mean to do this baby any injustice considering my blogging mania with Macy Grace, but I just don't feel like I have much to blog!

I feel fabulous. I haven't one complaint in any way. I feel great. With lil love I was puking, nauseous, lost my appetite, tired, emotional, basically everything I'm not with this lil peanut - okay, except the emotional part! haha

I was very scared about being pregnant. I have a baby. Okay, a 14 month old, but requires attention nonetheless. I run a daycare. I care for children all day. That's hard to do bending over a toliet! I was scared. And when I found out I was pregnant, I just waited. Waited for it to hit. I was doing my prep work. Taking my prenatals at night. Dosing up on b6. I stocked up on lemon, lemon lime gatorade, and lemon jolly ranches - all my necessities last pregnancy. Never knowing when the evil would strike. And it didn't. Never. I have felt great since day one. And still to this day I feel amazing. I am so blessed. God knows exactly what we need and what we can handle.

But because the beginning of pregnancy is relatively uneventful unless your a puking machine, I just haven't felt like there is much to write about. But I'm thinking of things and will share in the days ahead.

I love being pregnant. I am so excited for Macy to be a big sister. Children are the most amazing thing in the entire world and I am beyond blessed to get to experience this gift again.

Facts:
Due July 28th, 2010 - sausage toes, here I come!
I do not know the sex and probably won't find out! (Eeeek...why am I doing this to myself again!?!)
I've gained about a pound and a half and I'm fatter and have nothing to wear! haha

what's better?

Seriously, Macy Grace is at such a fun age. I love it. Of course, she can be onry and there are times that I get frustrated, I'm not perfect. Although those times, truly are few and far between.

Tonight was a good night.
She made a mess by tearing up paper and placing it all over the house, got into the cabinets and just generally did things that a 14 month old does.
Until it was time to go to bed.
I said, Macy Grace, it's bed time, you need to pick up your mess. Please go pick up the paper and bring it to Mommy.
And she did.
Again.
And again.
And again.
And her toys.
And the cups.
And almost everything she had dragged out. She didn't pick it all up but most things she did. That just makes me so happy. She is able to learn and follow directions. It's amazing.
So, now it's bedtime.
I say, Macy Grace, let's get your milk and go change into your jammies.
So we did and she walks straight to her room to change. We change and read a book. I gave her the choice to finish her milk or go brush her teeth, she gave me her milk and walked to the bathroom.
I sit her on the toliet seat lid to brush her teeth so she walks in and trys to put the lid down, I put her up there and we brush her teeth. She LOVES to brush her teeth. Actually, earlier tonight she was saying something to me and I was having a difficult time understanding her. I thought she said drink, juice. So, I went looking for her cup and she walked to the bathroom and tried to get on the toliet, she was trying to say teeth, as it brush her teeth!
How cute.
Okay, back to my story.
So, we brush her teeth and we go back to her room and pray.
When I'm done, she says, UuuuMEN.
It's heart melting.
I lay her down, give her pup pup and pig pig and tell her how much I love her and it sounds like she is saying Mindy while smiling ear to ear.
I say, No, Mommy.
She says Mooooooommy. (She likes to hold out her vowels!)
I say yes, Mommy.
She smiles.
I blow her a kiss.
She catches it.
She says, Ni ni.
I walk out nearly in tears over how wonderful it is to be a mom.

Monday Menus!

I'm going to try and start posting "Monday Menus' and a few recipes with them of what I'm doing for the week. I've never ever been good at making menus but with our new budget system, I feel it's a must.

So, here it is:
And I'm not doing specific nights, just the options for the week:

1. Creamy Green Chicken Enchiladas with guacamole dip
2. Lasgana with salad and cheesy garlic bread
3. Roasted Grilled Chicken with roasted potatoes and corn
4. Raviolis with marinera sauce and green beans (maybe something else too!)
5. Ham, Egg, and Cheese Breakfast Burrtios with tator tots

As you can see I'm no gourmet cook. Life just doesn't allow for that! And we are somewhat particular eaters (I wish I wasn't but I am :( )so most of our food is simple and basic.

I'll try to post the recipe as I cook the meal. If you post Monday Menus, let me know so I can check them out!

14 months

My precious lil baby is now 14 months old. I never did a 12 or 13 month letter to her, bad bad mommy :(. I thought this month I would just highlight a few things I don't want to forget in her life.

*WALKING!!! She walks. And it's fun and new. I love to see her walk. She seems much more grown up now that she's walking.
*Peek-a-BAH!!!! She loves loves to play peek-a-boo. But she calls it peek-a-BAH. As in she yells, BAH at the end. So, it's peek-a-BAH. I love it. She was laying on the bed with Jeremy and all of a sudden she sits up and yells, "PEEK-A-BAH!!!!!" and throws the pillow on his head. It was to die for cute. She'll even play by herself or with her animals!
*Pup-pup and pig-pig! She sleeps with pup-pup and pig-pig every night and for her nap. Pup-pup is a stuffed lil black lab puppy and pip-pig is piglet from Winnie the Pooh. She loves them both.
*Her amazing laugh when we tickle and play piggies with her toes. It is so contagious and brightens my whole day. And her snort. She starts laughing so hard she snorts, I love it.
*Her love for books. She loves loves loves to read. She plays with her books alot and brings them to us repeatedly for us to read to her. I'm so glad she's into books.
*SIGNING!!! Now that she has learned so much through sign language it is much easier for her to communicate with us. She signs eat, more, baby, all done, please, bird and milk. She is learning to talk and talks pretty good to us, but I love to see her sign.
*TALKING!! She says, daddy, puppy, bye bye, hi, please, thank you, cracker, drink, mommy, jake, peek-a-BAH, baby, ball, papa, baba (it was bottle, we're off that), birdie, book, auntie (if prompted). She tries to say; cat, kyle (one of her friends) riley (one of her friends), rana, sid. I can't think of anything else.
She absolutely loves balls. It's her favorite thing. She just loves them. And birdies and puppies. She's amazing. I love her more than I ever thought that I could or would. And it just keep getting better.

She weighs about 21 lbs (I could be off!)
Not sure how long she is.
Has 4 teeth fully in and 2 more poking their way up.
She eats mostly everything but loves fruits and veggies more than anything. Okay, not more than chocolate or ice cream. Which, she's had a very small amount of both!

Macy's been fulling walking for about 3 weeks now, but I took these of her when she was just starting. I love how she walked with things in her mouth, it seemed to give her 'balance'!

I took the Vaughts family pictures this fall and they are a joy to photograph. Just look at those kiddos!

Happy New Year!

I am so bad that I'm just wishing all of you a Happy New Year!
We did go up to J's grandma's and that didn't go quite as planned but it's fine. We're home and safe and that's what counts. We arrived home just in time to attend my friend Charity's new years eve party and had a great time. Unfortunately I have zero pictures of the party because I had left my camera in the car in the freezing cold for over 24 hours and it was very cold and fogged over. I was freakin out that the condensation would leak into the lens but I think it's fine. I grabbed the camera Saturday to snap a few of lil love and it seemed to be working good. I was not happy when I discovered what I had done to my camera.
Note to self: (and Renee!) don't leave your camera in the car during the winter - or summer! It's not good!

I'm hoping to do a recap of the year 2009 and a year in review with some pictures. It will just take me some time over the next couple of days. I'm back and running the daycare and it's crazy for the first few days.

Also, please stay connected. I'm going through alot of changes here in my life and the blog and hopefully a business. I'll want your input and thoughts. I appreciate you readers following along and value your opinions as I embark on a new journey.
