10 on Tuesday

I'm getting this done early and on number 10, you'll see why!
1. I seriously think I've lost 2 lbs just chasing Macy Grace all over this house. She's on the go!
2. Liberty! is tomorrow and Thursday, already here, July, can't believe it!
3. I got accepted into a 9 week photography class online and seriously, I couldn't be more excited. The registeration opened yesterday morning at 9am PST, and I was ready. I had my autofill ready to go and my credit card. I had my internet streaming the NATIONAL time so I wasn't a second late, lol. I've been on the 725+ waiting list for a long time, so this was huge for me. I have praying I would get in, and I did. It doesn't start until September, but that's perfect timing for me, I am so pumped =)
4. Speaking of photography, I'm also attending a workshop in California for a weekend in September, and seriously, I couldn't be more scared and excited at the same time.
5. My new lens arrived the week before last. It has taken some getting used to, but so far I love it. This is the one I got.
6. Katy's wedding is over, and that deserves a post in and of itself, lol!
7. And I have practically no pictures from the day, because the last thing I had time for was a camera in my face. But I did get a couple of her and her dad, I'll post those after I have a few secs to look at them.
8. I'm getting super duper excited about our cruise. I'm nervous and unsure about leaving lil love for a whole week while I leave the country. But Jeremy and I need this. I feel like I owe this trip to him, so I'm going, and I'm enjoying myself and everything will be okay. She'll be in good hands.
9. Here's a new one, she's precious

10. Today I'm unplugging. I wanted to get in this post because it's been awhile but after I publish it, I'm off for the day. No twitter, no facebook, no blogs, no internet, no tv, just me, my kids, and my camera. In this technological world, I believe we could all use a little unplugging every once and a while. So, get out and enjoy your day - just GO!!

You can read more about it here and here.

the rain.

Macy Grace has been waking up early lately - boo. She normally wakes up around 6:30 and I'm actually okay with it because so far it works out perfect for my daycare, but 6:00 or 5:30 just isn't doing it for me! And this morning was no exception. I was sorta surprised because we had a late night out at the farm for J and my good friend's wedding rehearsal dinner. It was F.A.B.U.L.O.U.S. I have pics. It was gorgeous. Anyway, back to what I was saying. I went in and picked up lil love and put her in bed with me for an hour and she nursed, and wiggled, and squirmed, so we got up. And gosh darn it, today was actually a day for me to sleep in! Oh well. I walked to the living room and opened the door and rain. The wonderful, beautiful smell of rain. It's clean. Calm. I LOVE rain.
Today we have a wedding and it's worth celebrating =)
Have a great day!
Go!!

I am so proud of Macy Grace. She is starting to sit up so well now and crawls all over the place. She's not up on all fours yet, but she skoots and army crawls EVERYWHERE!!! It is just amazing how much she changes every.single.day.

10 on Tuesday

1. I couldn't figure out what was wrong with me this morning, then realized it was 12:23 and I hadn't had my pepsi max yet, oy. I'm helplessly addicted.
2. I feel so wishy washy, but I think my goal for now, today, Tuesday, July 9th, is that this house I'm in right now will be just a daycare come fall. If we can get Prospect in a more liveable conidition by then. Pray!!
3. My autofocus points are not working on my camera right now, and I'm so frustrated by it. Grrr.
4. Another wishy washy thing, but I'm pretty sure that I've decided to go to junior church camp this year, and Jeremy might might be able to go too!
5. If camp works out, then I think I'll just try to work out something to fly from there to Portland to see grandma and get our five generation pic then I can fly straight back here for a pretty good deal. I've just got to dot all my i's and cross my t's.
6. We (J and I) actually went to Prospect (our old house, we name them, it's how we keep them organized!) last night to start cleaning it out. Boy, it's a mess. I just need to do it like they do on Clean Sweep and take everything from one room outside and then decide out comes BACK in. Sounds good because I hate bringing things BACK in. We just have so.much.stuff.
7. After a laid back evening last night, it feels good to just relax. We have been so busy lately. J took Macy Grace and I out to eat at my favorite mexican place La Hacienda, then we came home for a bowl of cookies-n-cream ice cream after lil love was nice and cozy in bed =)
8. I have several people who are interested in my photographing their children for my skill building and portifolio building, I'm pumped. Practice, practice, practice. Now I just got to take care of the focusing issue.
9. Katy's wedding is in two and half weeks - wow.
10. I have LOVED having my brother and Miranda here this summer. It is so fun. And Macy Grace loves it too, special Aunt Rana time.

here she is, cutie pa tootie

This is how I found her napping today! She is so cute huh?

seven, the number of perfection!

Oh, Macy Grace, my lil love bug, today you have been alive in this world for 7 beautiful months. It is absolutely amazing how much you have changed and developed and learned so quickly. Grandma and Grandpa Gilbert were just here almost a month ago and they kept saying how much you were learning on a daily basis. And after they left they called the next week to see what you were doing now!

You are so fun! I love the may your eyes light up and you get SO excited when you see me or daddy. Even Jake! You love him are always trying to touch him. On day, daddy and I were here sitting here at the computer and we heard you laughing on the floor behind us, and when I turned to see you, Jake had his paw on your tummy and you thought it was great!! Of course, he moved it real quick when he saw me looking! Then just a day or two later you were laughing and talking so looked over and you had Jake's tail in your hands and you loved it. You love tails. That is so weird, but true. Anything with a tail, you want it and will just chew and suck on that tail, it's cute. You still love strings and are constantly trying to grab strings or ribbon or anything long and skinny! You love cellphones too, such a silly girl.

You play very well by yourself on the floor for over an hour sometimes. And you are so close to crawling. Although sitting up is a little more of a challenge, you just lean over into the tripod position. When you want something you just reach out your little arms and kick your feet and totter side to side and kick up off the floor until you can grab whatever it is that you are after.

You make the cutest noises and sounds. My favorite is when you want me or want some milk you press your little lips together and go "Mmmmmmmm", it's precious. You are a very happy baby.

One struggle has been getting you to take a bottle. So, I started pumping again and you will take the breastmilk through a bottle. But NO formula, you think it's icky. You eat like a champ though. You love your fruits and veggies. Especially bananas. When I start to feed them to you you get very excited. You also want to drink out of everything I have and eat anything. And sno cones. Can't forget about those. You love 'em - plain ole cold shaved ice, you're a happy lil girl.

My other struggle at times is the church nursery or being away from me. You sure know your mommy and love her!!

You are an amazing lil girl and it's so cliche but I never thought I would or could love anyone this much. You light up my life and are my sunshine. Macy Grace, I strive everyday to be a better person for you. I pray for wisdom and strength to raise you up in a holy way. I love you my sweet baby girl and look forward to each and every memory with you.

xoxoxoxo, with all my love forever, Mama

10 on Tuesday!!!

1. While compiling my list to 10, I knew this would be close to the top. Macy Grace is totally wearing me out. She will not take a bottle. I've tried everything. Different nipples, slower, faster, different bottles, a sippy cup, formula, juice/water mixture, everything. The protest started about 3 months ago. And I am wanting to start the weaning process, so she needs to take a bottle. And it is emotionally draining to have your lil baby just cry and cry because she just wants a ninny (that's what I call it, sorry!). And she doesn't understand why you are withholding from her. Well, we successfully stopped a mid-morning feeding, but that was it. And no substituting it for a bottle, she wouldn't have it.
2. I am proud (very very proud) to report that she drank 1 ounce from a bottle from me this afternoon. It was breastmilk, but I'm fine with that. At least it was from a bottle!!
3. I ordered some of my pictures in prints and I'm so happy. They are great!!
4. This week is VBS at church and we're rockin it! It's so fun.
5. I still have some birthday money saved up, and I'm thinking I'll spend it on some new stuff for the house. I just can't decide ON WHAT!!
6. We have been crazy busy but yet I feel like I have NOTHING to blog about.
7. Sid and Miranda have moved here. It has been so so fun having them within blocks of where we live. It's great.
8. I had a trip to the ER yesterday. Yup. Ken, Kendra, Kathy, and Kory want to introduce to you their newest sista - Kelly, my 5th kidney stone. Yes, folks, fifth. I have had 5 frickin kidney stones, and let me just tell you, that on this side of things, it does feel JUST like contractions. Lovely. So, I received an antibiotic and pain meds via ivs, and a ct scan. My kidneys just don't love me.
9. I just can't believe it's June. And June is going to FLY by. I already know it. We are thinking a 3 day trip to Vegas staying on Las Vegas Lake (because I've had nearly all of the strip I can handle for a while!) over the 4th of July would be nice. But we have to make up our mind because it's going to come FAST.
10. Our shaved ice trailer is rockin. We are staying so busy, weather premitting, and we love it!!
and because I want to
11. J finished the fence in the backyard last week and it looks SO good. I'm very excited about it!

I feel so behind and I have so much going on inside of me right now!!
I have alot on my mind to say the least.
It's been awhile since I've really said anything and especially about my lil chunk munk. So is changing alot right in front of me. I'm just amazed. And in one week, she'll be 7 months old. Darn, I've got to get those save the dates out for her big birthday celebration ;) She has so much personality and it just melts my heart. Her smile, oh man. I'll recap for her monthly update later this week. Until then, here are a few things I'm working on:
cleaning house - is that EVER done?
photography
we're throwing around a quick 3 day trip to vegas (because that's all the time we've got and that's all of vegas I can handle!)
decorating this home of mine
a 50th birthday party for my aunt
teaching Macy Grace to crawl!

blessing and peace!!
GO do something today =)
